Why NBA 2K23 Season 5's Dribble Moves and Animations Were Disappointing?

Season 5 of NBA 2K23 has started, but this has disappointed many players! New dribble moves, signature shots, and other animations accompany the new season. However, many of the new animations are being criticized for being too slow or too fast. This can be a problem when playing online or against other players.

Why NBA 2K23 Season 5

The Ineffective Dribble Moves of Mike Baby, Kobe White, and Chris Paul

The new dribble moves released could be more impressive, too. Mike Baby, Kobe White, and Chris Paul all have their signature dribble moves, but they are not seen as very effective. The speed boost on Allen Iverson's moves is too slow, and the Between the Legs move on Kobe White's is also slow. Chris Paul's escape move is the only dribble move seen as usable, but it could be better.

The New Jumpshots: Too Slow to be Effective

Regarding jumpshots, the new releases, such as the Zach Levine fade and the Tracy McGrady step back, are seen as decent but could be better. The animations need to be faster to be effective and will likely be contested by the opponent in a real game.

Conclusion:

Many players feel that season 5 of NBA 2K23 is a huge disappointment. The dribble moves and animations are different from the standard players expect, especially after spending so much money on the game. If 2K wants to improve its competition, it should focus on releasing all animations simultaneously instead of dropping them in separate seasons. This way, players can have access to all of the best moves and practice with them year-round.
